Publications Coaching
What does a publications coach do?
A publications coach supports you at every stage of writing an article for publication in an academic journal. This role combines the services offered by an “academic editor” and an “academic writing coach”.
Support could look like:
coaching to overcome emotional blocks
providing accountability
providing tools and frameworks to create a strong positioning and argument
high-level editing for story and flow, and
copy editing at the final stages of writing.
A publications coach works closely with writers to co-create their manuscript, often playing the role of a co-author. The coach fulfils the role of a thinking partner and functions as a second set of eyes, giving writers the much-needed close feedback for their writing that their co-authors do not have the time to give them.
